As we move ahead, we stand closer to a world full of competition. Where everybody wants to be someone, trying to push others down. This mindset of people has transformed the beautiful worlds of owes into a battlefield. Where everyone wants to be a winner.

The need of the hour is to work together as a team in order to bring about a change in our society which is full of people driven by selfish motive. We need to spread the message of peace to every possible person we can, in order to hope for a better future. We need to work together in order to achieve the common goals of success and unit.

At last, to all my worthy school mates, I would like to say that, make sure when you are out from the school premises, you are as bright as a star which not only shines itself but also spreads it’s light in order to make the sky look brighter.

• SELF CONFIDENCE : Our school inculcates the feeling of self confidence in each and every student, The one who is self assured can achieve success in every field.
• HUMILITY : Humility is to act and lead in a manner that reflects or express a spirit of inclusion, respect for others and a willingness to subordinate one’s own interest for the common good. We Mariampurians are taught since childhood to accept the responsibility of mistakes and failures and to learn from them. We are taught to remain calm and help others in adverse circumstances.
• SELF EVALUATION : The value of self knowledge and self assessment is increasing dramatically in today’s changing scenario and social environment. Knowing about who we are and what our strengths and weaknesses is one of the key characteristics that can distinguish people who succeed in life from those who struggle.
• TRUSTWORTHINESS : Our school entrusts us with various responsibilities and thus inculcates the quality of trustworthiness in us. When we are trustworthy , others can be sure of us and we can be sure of ourself.
• OPTIMISM : The School is very optimistic about the all round development of its students and thus endows the same personality traits in all of us. An optimistic tends to see adversity as temporary and view all the obstacles as mirror so be optimistic in your approach and fight all odds enthusiastically and firmly.

I am very sure that all my school mates would develop all the personality traits and grow in to worthy citizens of India making our school, teachers and parents proud.

What better a vision can get than this? We are the proud students of Mariampur Sr. Sec. School. A school that demarcates us from others, endowing us with the frabjuous habitual traits.

BEING PROACTIVE : It leads us to see beyond, listen beyond and act beyond in any environment. BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND : Leadership is the first creation and it is very important to lead our own motions and actions ahead. PUT FIRST THING FIRST : Human will have triumphed against unbelievable odds to be enthusiastic. Give your will a thrust. HAVE A PLAN : To write success we must follow a definite course of action, devised in the light of our own practical cognition. SEEK FIRST TO UNDERSTAND THEN TO UNDERSTOOD : Be an empathic listener. We listen with our ears and our heart. We listen for feeling, for meaning. SET PERSONAL STANDARS : We must endeavor to be the very, very best we can, at all times.

MAINTAIN GOOD MANNERS : No matter how small interactions with people you have each day, don’t let the manner slip away. BE CHEERFUL ANS POSITIVE : Because we know the sun will come back, because we know things will always get better. NEVER LIE : Tell what you know, No more, No less, it sets you into a mode when you don’t have to think twice.

SHARPEN THE SAW : Express spiritual, mental, social and physical motivation. It enhances the greatest asset we have – OURSELVES. SYNERGIZE : It means the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and stems from the creative process we pursue. To my worthy school mates, I would say, make sure when you move out from the school premises you are not a person, but a star, a star so bright. Have faith in god, in your school, your teachers and parents and of course- YOURSELF.

As the time progresses, competition takes over. World remains nothing but a battle field where everyday is the outcome of our triumph over the world’s. Happy and content are those blessed with prosperous lives, satisfying professions etc.

As we inch towards our future we must make sure that years hence from now on, we won’t be the one regretting for something we should’ve have done and we didn’t.

Working for future today only pays in the long run. A promising future not only enhances our lifestyle but our character as whole. Therefore, career and aspirations lead them be your priority on the least.

Our school has always aimed towards, Excellence and perfection not only in academics but also leading in literary as well as curriculum activities. Most importantly, in my view, it is at school where we develop our personality, our ethical codes, perseverance and self – confidence that remain with us for the rest of our lives. Discipline and hard work are the only essence of success and a bright future.
